Leave the noise at the door
The polished poster, rough images and cinema laughter travel easily, but they are only pieces of the film. Story, rhythm and character begin to emerge only when you sit through it.
There is nothing wrong with entering out of curiosity. Just do not let ten seconds seen beforehand decide the next 86 minutes for you.
Keep your own verdict
You can be moved by five years of effort and still dislike the images, sound or storytelling. Those reactions do not cancel each other out.
After a film goes viral, the valuable thing is not one shared answer. It is each viewer being able to say what they saw and why it worked—or did not—for them.
